Maelie's First Birthday - Boho Garden Fun
Planning this girls first birthday was MUCH simpler that Charlie’s. I wanted a few details, but nothing major (I loved doing the puppy party, but it required more effort haha— like coloring pages of our actual dogs). Maelie’s was simple, cute and ALL of the decorations can now be left up forever because they match the vibe of my entire home.
We (as in, I) went for a Bohemian Garden theme.
I want to share some of the cute details. And the gifts that I chose with you.
First, her outfit. This “scandalous” as Pj calls it came from Shein.com. Cheap, cute, adult and baby clothes.
The AMAZING cake came from Smackerel Events, my friend Margaret Gittins. With Roses foraged from the from the front flower bed.
These AMAZING cookies from my friend Katie, https://www.instagram.com/cookies_by_katie/.
This backdrop.
I made the stand a couple of years ago out of (2-5ft pieces, 1-4ft piece & then two way connectors on the end) 1/2” copper pipe, industrial pipe floor flange with the piece that screws into it. SUPER simple. I just cut these 2x8x8 boards into 8x8 squares, stained them and screwed the floor flange into it as the base. These come apart and store super condensed.
For the vines I used this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GVGF1MX/?ref=idea_lv_dp_ov_d&tag=aiponsite-20&linkCode=ic6&ascsubtag=amzn1.ideas.Y3LFGQKEVQ1K
For the macrame this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GVGF1MX/?ref=idea_lv_dp_ov_d&tag=aiponsite-20&linkCode=ic6&ascsubtag=amzn1.ideas.Y3LFGQKEVQ1K
And she absolutely LOVES the toy I got her. I LOVE Goobi Juniors for toddlers. It’s probably the BEST building product out there for little fingers because they can actually have success doing it.
Also this quiet sensory play item from Fat Brain Toys for the church bag and other quiet settings where the babies need movement.
