Stocking Stuffers

All of the following can be found on their own small shop websites, but are cross-listed on Amazon for convenience. You can find their Instagram pages on my Instagram.

Art Supplies

Magic Stix are markers that we have had for over a year. They can legitimately last for days without the lid on. And they are triangles so we don’t lose them and snap them right back into their case. I got a new set to replenish our old stash, although, that one still works except one blue. so it’s SOOOO worth the $10 for 24 markers. Their site has a ton of incredible other art supplies and that’s what I’ll be gifting my nieces and nephews this year.

Handmade Bows

These cute bows are from the sweetest local 12-year-old who lives near me. She made bows for my baby girl on the way and I cannot wait to have her wear them. Check out her Instagram here to order.

Playdough kits!

These are incredible, they are another local find and such unique personalized gifts for your kids.

A deeper look

OSMO

Charlie "tested out" another Christmas present to "see if he'd like it" so that I could give an honest review of this @playosmo. He knows the story, "mom now you will send it back and get it for me for Christmas???" Something like that. 😳😂😂

We don't do a ton of interactive screen-time. My kids don't have their own tablets. But when we do iPad time I try to find really intentional, but simple and not too overwhelming games for him to start to navigate a personal screen.

The Little Genius Starter Kit + Early Math Adventure includes 6 games. So far our favorites are the letter and counting games. I love that the little bear is teaching him about the letter, the sound it makes, and then words that start with that letter. Each game has a mix of open-ended imaginative creation and the rote memorization of letters that all kids eventually learn in school. It's such a fun way to introduce letters, numbers, shapes and one of the games is almost entirely open-ended.

A great mix of screens with open-ended play and learning objectives for some healthy screentime.

Mom's gonna box this up and ship it back now *wink wink* aka hide it and wrap it for under the tree. 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🙌🏻
