Featured Artist Friday: Chelsey Hansen

Today I am going to share with you an interview I did with one of our super talented featured artists, Chelsey Hansen. Chelsey owns her shop Lacy Llama Crafts.

When did you start doing artwork?

I have always been in love with art! Taking every art class I could, but sketching was always my favorite until Then I found watercolor and was determined to learn!

When did you start?

I started almost 3 years ago.

Why did you start a business of it?

I was too poor to give gifts for friends weddings and it made me feel awful! I decided to give watercolors as gifts and it just exploded into something! One friend in particular really believed in me to get it started. I began offering them for free for practice, and as I got better I charged 5 whole dollars!  

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I feel like I have very limited spare time now that I have a new baby. All I do these days is clean, baby, and paint! If I had a choice I would probably read a good book, paint my nails, oh where did those days go! haha

Something interesting about yourself:

 I always have such a hard time with this question. Let’s see… A lot of people who see me think I am a crazy girly girl. Okay, okay you caught me, I definitely am. My favorite color is pink and I love anything Disney! But I have this other side. I am in love with anything comics! Especially marvel super hero! (I liked it before it was cool and mainstream) ;). Also am a big fan of Lord of the Rings. I really like video games and dirt bikes too.
