Laundry/Mudroom Room Boho Board & Batten Makeover
I’m 1000% the most spontaneous project do-er I’ve ever known. But as I’ve been learning EVEN more about my enneagram number, which is a 3 BTW… I realize that rest isn’t even good for 3’s. Which is why when I was recovering from brain surgery I was hand crafting Christmas presents and teaching myself to weave. The second I could ditch nap time during early pregnancy I’ve been back to a mile a minute.
Some huge projects I’ve done since March.

You get it. The list goes on and on. I’ll work on blogging some of these, but if you feel like peaking, check out my instagram #pacehometour
This particular project was last second. I walked by my extra cluttered laundry/mudroom and knew a change was in store. So I moved the shoes to the closet. Built a storage area for the items (tp, paper towels, cleaning supplies) from the closet.
Hacked off my super long homemade butcher block counter and moved this Ikea linen closet in.
It’s SOOO organized.
Which makes it so bright and happy and beautiful to me.
So to build this little wall divider, I just used a nail gun and attached the long MDF board to the wall. Then I used the nail gun to secure my 3/4 particle board to the MDF board. And on the other side I made sure it was snug with one more mdf trim board.
It’s so sturdy my husband could trip and fall into it… it wouldn’t budge. I felt super empowered by that part.
The board and battan was SOOOOOO easy. I’m not kidding. I used 1x3 pine board for the hooks so the hooks would screw in easily. And I used MDF 2.5 baseboard for the vertical boards.
I used a nail gun to secure it all to the wall, then filled the holes and caulked around every board.
My favorite part of all was using my paint sprayer to paint this wall. I used less than 20 oz of paint — and did 3 layers in just hours. It was an incredible experience and I really encourage EVERYONE to go buy one.

Most of this was bought from Amazon or Home Depot.
Paint is called Starfish and I got it from Home Depot, lightened by 40%.
I did get the rug from Overstock here.
