Xo Playtime: Doctors & Dentists

This week we are learning about doctors and dentists, with so many hands-on learning activities. We are learning about germs with science projects, writing letters to our doctor, flossing while playing… who even knew flossing could be FUN!?

This #xoplaytime curriculum is super fun, filled with Youtube recommendations to learn about different body parts and some supplemental pages to do some of the activities.

As always, we wanted to share a few “large group“ style projects, that you may or may not get to as a part of Xo Playtime.

. We experimented lots with our elephant toothpaste, it didn't give us quite the reaction that we were hoping for, the problem is we didn't have the right kind of hydrogen peroxide (thanks instacart shopping replacements) AND we used too much water.

Here's the procedure.

-Measure 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide 3%, and carefully pour it into the bottle.

-Add a big squirt of dish soap into the bottle and swirl gently to mix.

-In a measuring cup mix together one tablespoon of yeast and three tablespoons of warm water. Stir for about 30 seconds.
